About Us

The adventure began in 2004 when George slipped a real estate advertisement for an organic blueberry farm onto Marla’s desk. “Are you nuts?” she said, crumbled it up and tossed it into the recycle bin.  A week later, Marla wanted to go look at the farm and immediatley fell in love. 

After eight years of intensive hands-on farming and many years of wine making, we are pleased to present our estate winery to you. Whenever I think we are not moving fast enough, as so often happens in this day and age, I hear my father's words, "slow and steady wins the race".  

We know how important great fruit is to the finished product.  We are committed to organic and sustainable farming methods.  All of the fruit we use is hand-harvested, allowing us to choose only the very best fruit for our wine.  Our passion for creating unique and exciting wines comes through in every bottle we produce.

What’s in a name?

The name, Blue Moon was selected because it exemplifies individuality and uniqueness.  ....once in a blue moon............  Our wines are unique to our farm and to our wine maker.  

Come and visit us and sample some of our selected varieties.
